In Which Your Humble Scribe Becomes Famous

Ah, the sweet, sweet taste of local fame. Today, it is mine.

7 Days, an independent Burlington newspaper, ran a "back to school" feature that looked at the non-student-people going back to school. They profile a kindergarten teacher, a football coach... and me!

So, check it out. They've even got a nicely staged photo of me "teaching." Just so you know, the photo was taken on a day when I don't teach, and it was in the 80s with 100% humidity. Oh, and I didn't know the photographer was coming.

Well well...someone went shopping...It is funny that point was made twice...is it to imply that once one enters the profession he can actually make, save and spend money?!?!?!

Oh my.

JMJ, please say something to indicate that you don't really believe academia is a road to riches.

Our goal is to become solvent.

You don't look near as sweaty as poor Debbie LaForce does.

Also, way cool about the new slacks. Okay, so was that your word or the writer's word? (Very few people can get away with saying 'slacks.' One of them is my mother.)

Nice article...you've got a "I want to believe..." poster? Cool! I want me one of those. So that stuff on the blackboard behind you... all staged? What does it say?

Ah, for the answer to those worthy questions, you will have to tune in on Monday (or, at least, Monday-ish), when all will be revealed!
