Things that make you go: Hmmmm.

I just got two identical comments on an old post from last September.

Normally, this would be a clear indication that the comments are actually spam.

I delete spam comments without hesitation -- they're mostly just crap with a lot of links to more crap.

These two included no links, and were almost substantive. In fact, I hestitate to really call them spam at all. However, they were from an online term-paper seller, and the e-mail and web page link for the "commenter" lead back to the online paper-mill. Grrrrrr....

I deleted them. You should know better than to try to sell fake papers on the blog of an English professor.
